UETDRMP010 - Provide First Aid in an ESI environment
By undertaking this course, individuals will be provided with the knowledge and skills required to provide first aid in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment. Individuals will be able to apply their skills and knowledge by being able to recognise the need for first aid in an emergency situation and providing an initial first aid response, including basic life support measures, according to established workplace first aid policies and procedures.

Mode of Delivery: 2 hours Practical face to face session.
Duration: 2 Hours
Assessment: This course has pre-requisite requirements that students must hold HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This CPR can be completed as part of this course for an additional cost.
Age Requirement: 13+
Certificate Valid: Validity of certificate 1 year. Sydney ABC First Aid is partnered with Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909), which will issue a nationally recognized certificate. After successfully completing the training, all participants will be issued with a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment for: UETDRMP010 - Provide First Aid in an ESI environment

Topics covered in the Provide First Aid in an ESI environment are:
- Preparation of emergency first aid equipment relevant to an ESI Environment.
- Identification of hazards and minimization of risks.
- Assessment and stabilization of the casualty.
- Provision of first aid for conditions including bleeding, burns, electrocution, shock, bites, and stings.
- Communication of details to emergency services personnel.
- Reporting and recording the details of the ESI incident.
